| Who: | Any child between the ages of 3 and 5 years old |
| What: | A martial play program exposing little ones to lightly structured games that require jumping, hopping, running, rolling, stopping, starting, turning and more of the basic movements needed for healthy physical development. Children learn counting in Japanese, play sef defence games, learn basic martial movement and techniques, enhance listening skills, gain self-esteem.

| What: | This class is the child's first introduction to the karate uniform and the belt system popular with karate in the west. Kids learn the basics of blocking and striking while being introduced to the Gojukai philosophy of hard/soft. This class teaches and reinforces the concepts of dealing with conflict in a soft way first and to use karate techniques only when necessary |

| How: | The program is designed and taught by Donna Gardecki, M.Sc., 5th degree black belt with 10 years experience teaching children's karate programs. She has completed a master's degree in physical education and works one-to-one with all ages in fitness and rehabilitation. Donna is a course facilitator for the Coaching Association of BC. |

| What: | Classes include all belt levels and guide the student through the curriculum and on to the higher levels of training towards black belt. These classes include basic moving, kata (forms) and kumite (sparring) as well as more in-depth concepts related to conflict management and resolution without fighting. |

| What: | All classes have cardio and conditioning as well as stretching associated with the karate training. Basics classes are more suited to beginners however, beginners are welcome at all classes. These classes guide the student from the white belt through towards black belt and beyond. |

| What: | All belts levels are welcome to schedule this class. Students are introduced to the traditional weapons of Okinawa; the bo, sai, tonfa, and tekko. The study of nunchaku is reserved for brown belts and higher. The students learn basics, kata and partner work with weapons. |
